Sara’s variety and wealth of experience enables her to provide services in a variety of settings. With an extensive background in Clinical Social Work, Sara works with an approach that strongly integrates the concept of how a person is strongly impacted by their environment.Sara’s style is directive, dynamic, and compassionate. Sara is committed to developing rapport quickly with her clients and to creating a safe and comfortable environment even when addressing uncomfortable topics.
BIO/CREDENTIALS:
Sara graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and received her Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from San Diego State University. She also holds an Associate in Sex Education from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco and is doing work as a sex therapist. She has also supervised interns and served as an oral examiner for the Board of Behavioral Science Examiners.
BIO/CREDENTIALS:
SARA BARTHOLSara Barthol is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has been working in the field of addiction for over 15 years and has been providing group treatment to a varied population for over 16 years. Sara has worked in a variety of venues with varying responsibilities. She has been a clinician in private practice, a consultant, a crisis management team member, an associate administrator, and a liaison in school, community and hospital settings. Sara has worked clinically with people suffering from chronic mental illness as well as those dealing with challenging physical conditions such as HIV/AIDS. In addition, she has extensive experience in working with children and teens with behavioral concerns and those in crisis. Sara has worked with Special Education students with emotional, behavioral, and academic issues for Los Angeles Unified School District for 11 years. Sara worked at The Sexual Recovery Institute as a treatment specialist for over 10 years.
